A day hike to the impressive 200m TOROK Falls and an excursion to the magnificent CHEBLOCH gorge.
Torok Falls in among the highest plunge waterfalls in Kenya. It has a single 200 metres vertical drop, where the water loses contact with the rock face and free-falls into a pool below. It’s not only visual roadside stunner, at Kolol Viewpoint and along C51 Iten-Kabarnet Road, but is also an ace hiking trail.
Chebloch Gorge is located about 15km from Kabarnet town, the gorge was formed on the channel of Kerio River which flows along the Kerio Valley to Lake Turkana in the North.
Today the gorge has deepened to about 20m from the concrete bridge and serves as a boundary between Baringo and Elgeyo Marakwet counties.
The river is crocodile infested and it has catfish and mudfish.
At a fee, you can see the experienced divers diving up to three times from different rock heights into the deep waters of the Kerio River.
